September 28 will be Rev. Carissa Baldwin-McGinnis' last day at Northside.

"I look forward to us offering special prayers that day for our life and time together," Rev. Carissa said. Estela Lopez, part of the diocesan mission amplification team will be present that day to offer insight on members discerning their future spiritual home.

Going forward into October, worship will continue on Sundays at 10:15 am with music by Thanh Montes. On Oct 12 and 19th, Estela Lopez will return to guide the community through discernment and decision making after church.

"It is with mixed emotions that I let you know I will be concluding my ministry at Northside. I have accepted a call to serve as rector of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in the Montrose area of Houston," Rev. Carissa said. 

"This decision comes after prayer and discernment, and it was not easily made. The bonds we have formed are deep, and changes such as these can be painful. Still, we can make this transition together with care and intention, looking ahead in hope for what God has in store for us all."
